Smithfield

If you’re a fan of bacon or ham, you have no doubt heard of Smithfield, Virginia. Smithfield Foods presides here and is the world’s largest producer of pork. A quiet town with a small population and big charm, Smithfiled has so much to offer the homebuyer. First colonized in 1634, Smithfield sits on the Pagan River right across Williamsburg. If you are a horse lover or have ever dreamed of operating your own farm, Smithfield is a great option. Dust off that saddle and take your horse for a trot or roll the windows down and drive the winding country roads with nothing but open fields and tall pines to keep you company.

It should be pretty obvious that Smithfield is one of my favorite areas in the entire Commonwealth, and with all the abundance that Virginia possesses, that is saying quite a lot. Come for a visit and we’ll show you around so you can see for yourself!
